B2B Account Executive

Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Daily management of corporate accounts in large geographic area (ie. Richmond/Petersburg)
  • Sales, billing issues, technical support, general maintenance and all aspects of customer service. Also deliver and ship new phones, accessories, loaners, etc to accounts)
  • Corporate Visits – weekly, monthly and quarterly-to sell new equipment, service, pagers, & features-conduct bill analysis to ensure customer is on correct rate plans, renew service for existing customers, ensure 100% customer satisfaction with NTELOS service.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Manager-Network Engineering is responsible for planning, engineering, administering and leading the daily activities of the wireless network engineering team. The primary responsibilities include feature and routing translations for (4) Alcatel-Lucent packet switches and (2) Nortel MTX's, USDS-HLR, AirWide and Alcatel-Lucent SMSC's, AirWide OTA and Movius voicemail platforms. Additional skill sets and traits are as follows:

  • Demonstrated experience successfully interfacing with internal customers regarding network issues and service solutions in meeting objectives for the wireless business. Candidate should have a strong ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal formats.
  • Experience handling vendor & carrier interface and escalations as associated for timely coordination & resolution of service impacting events.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading large scale cross-functional projects.
  • Supervisory leadership experience supporting a technical group to include motivating, team-building, and corrective action coaching is desirable. Preferable candidate needs to handle conflict resolution scenarios within the team and the company in a professional manner.
  • Strong analytical ability to make sound decisions or provide input on key initiatives and budgets.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with SS7 ISUP and IS41 protocols a must.
  • A working knowledge in packet switching and Session Initiation Protocol desirable.

Network Operations Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a team member of Network Operations, the Network Operations Technician will be responsible for test and turn up, maintenance and troubleshooting of network equipment and services for NTELOS Wireline (South), consisting of the Roanoke, New River Valley and Southside areas of Virginia. Will also provide technical assistance to the Repair Control Center, Engineering, Network Operations Center and Services Operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associates Degree in Electronics or applicable technical work experience with successful background in Telephony or Electronics.
  • Lucent 5ESS or Nortel DMS switching operation and maintenance experience a plus as well as understanding of a Video Head-end Operations;
  • Experience with Active Directory, ADS, Clustering, WLBS, and Certificate Services is highly desirable. Experience with Microsoft MOM and SMS is a plus.
  • Experience with SONET transport provisioning, testing and turn-up;
  • Applicant should have a working knowledge of VBScript for systems administration. Experience with C# is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of and experience with DS-3 and DS-1 turn-up, testing and troubleshooting; experience working with Metro and IP services also preferred;
  • MCSE certification is desirable but not required.
  • Computer skills to include Word, Excel, MS Office and PROCOMM, good communication skills, and proven ability to work effectively alone or in a team;

Switch Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Maintenance and repair of all switching elements to include the Alcatel-Lucent 5E & ECP complex and ancillary equipment, Nortel DMS Switch, the Cisco and Motorola family of equipment with strengths on the Cisco IP based elements such as the MLS, SDU, VPU, OMC-IP the Motorola CBSC's, UNO Applications, Off-line sparc and Agnode. JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the RF team.
  • Monitoring system performance metrics daily to identify discrepancies
