Integrated Trunking

Integrated Trunking is ideal for future focused businesses that have acquired IP-equipped PBX and key systems. Unlike traditional channelized trunking, Integrated Trunking allows for dynamic bandwidth allocation between Internet access, Wide Area Network (WAN) connectivity and voice with a smaller number of trunks required.

  • A Primary Rate Interface (PRI) type of service that will allow multiple voice sessions on a broadband pipe, using an IP-enabled PBX or key system.
  • Expanded local calling.
  • Integrated Trunking scalability combines voice and data on one pipe with room for growth. Additional lines can be added to the Integrated Trunking circuit beyond the maximum of 23 channels offered by the traditional T-1.
  • nTelos Integrated Trunking provides connectivity to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) over a pipe shared between voice and data services, allowing customers to make better use of T-1 or Metro Ethernet transport costs.
  • Integrated Trunking over T-1 includes Quality of Service (QoS) for voice traffic on nTelos facilities.
