nTelos now owns a 4,500 route-mile regional fiber optic network and participates in partnerships that directly connect our networks with many of the largest markets in the mid-Atlantic region. In 2009, we doubled our network with the purchase of significant fiber optic and network assets from Allegheny Energy, Inc.
